ESTATE HISTORY

A story of quality, ancient culture, and continuous progress. The long rows of vines have belonged to the Marion family since 1891. Since 1999, this continued heritage has been carried forward by two brothers, ever inspired by their grandfather’s teachings: Nature is the perfect mechanism.

TERROIR

Soil: White Limestone Gravel

La golena is the Italian name for floodplain, which is an area of land adjacent to a river that stretches from the banks of its channel to teh base of the enclosing valley walls and experiences flooding during periods of high rainfall. La golena is the most fertile land because it is replenished by floods which generally bring rich mud deposits. For this reason, in some areas of the river Piave, near the Grave di Papdopoli, in the large floodplains, there are vineyards. This beautiful natural landscape reflects both an ancient history and a tradition which are strongly connected to the winegrowing and the winemaking.

TASTING & FOOD PAIRINGS

This Pinot Griogio has a strong character, but it is also versatile at the same time, and it has an intense bouquet, that recalls the fragrances of peach and apricot.
On the palate it is delicate, harmonic and elegant, with a pleasant acidity, closing with a long and persistent aftertaste.
Its pale pink color is obtained with a quick maceration of 10-12 hours.

Pairings: excellent with all kinds of seafood, such as shellfish, or with main courses. Perfect with risotto and pasta with seafood sauces.
