ESTATE HISTORY

Cistercian monks planted the vine during the XIIth century. Already famous in the XVth century, the wines were exported to England, Flanders and Picardie. Many wars damaged and threatened the vineyards, but it always survived.
Established in January 1938, the “Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée” Chablis Premier Cru confirms the excellence of this dry white wine, which, better than the other vineyards, has maintained its first rank during its history. Descombe family acquired Domaine Passy le Clou in 2017.

Soils: Clay-limestone (Kimmeridgian)
