TERROIR

Soil: Red gravel
The vineyard of Chateau Robin is located on red gravel soil linked to Lalande de Pomerol and Pomerol. The old vines (more than 50 years old) have roots which are 10 meters underground.
The gravel on the soil maintains a high temperature which speeds the maturation of the grapes. The Robin 2005 grapes were very dark with a high level of natural sugar in the juice, one of the best level of tannins in the skin of the bunches of grapes since 50 years ago.

WINEMAKING

Vinification in stainless steel vats with 2 months of maceration.
Aging: Up to 5 years and more.

TASTING & FOOD PAIRINGS

Robin is typical of the best wine of the right bank in the area of Saint Emilion and Pomerol: dark, red, purple color with ripe aromas, liquorice, pure and intense flavors, round, full bodied and fat wine with a long and round after taste. Great texture, harmonious and complex. Pairs well with roast lamb, game meats and hearty beef dishes.
