La Belle Citadelle was created to bring a feel of the past into our homes by bringing wines that truly represent their authentic origin and terroir. Their styles have been carefully crafted to provide enjoyment and pleasure while respecting the true characteristics of each varietal. More importantly a style that integrates its origin and its purpose: The desire to over deliver, surpass expectations and fully satisfy the person who is discovering the wine for the first time...

La Belle Citadelle emulates the creation of a work of art. This is a labor of love, and sharing this passion with others was the driving force behind the project.Our work was quickly noticed, and The Sunset International Wine Challenge (2017) awarded medals to all of our first vintages. Guy Azera

TERROIR

Soil: Foothills of the Pyrenees
Surface: 45 hectares
Cultivated on the plains and slopes of Languedoc and Roussillon in the South of France, where cold nights alternate with hot days.

WINEMAKING

The grapes are picked in September at full maturity. They are destemmed and then fermented for 8 days at 28 degrees Celsius before being pressed.

TASTING & FOOD PAIRINGS

A rich dark ruby red color. Rich and flavorsome on the nose (red fruits, spices, pepper). Showing red currant and ripe black cherry flavors on the palate with elegant, round tannins. A full-bodied wine.

Pairs well with red and grilled meats and vegetables, pasta.
