ESTATE HISTORY

Located on a South-facing plateau, the Chateau Puy Rigaud belongs to the Marchand family since 1969. Since 2008 Bruno Marchand, Maurice Marchand's son, and his wife Sarah are continuing the work.

Soil: Clay limestone and silty clay

VITICULTURE

Sustainable farming. In recent years attention to environmental friendliness has been added.

Wine Making

Traditional. Qualitative optimization of the vineyard and evolution of winemaking techniques are their main objectives. 

TASTING & WINE PAIRINGS

The wine presents a purple-tinged dress, deep, clear and bright. The nose reveals aromas of red and black very ripe fruits and spices. On the palate it is a full wine, elegant, structured with notes of ripe fruits accompanied by powerful and velvety tannins.

Goes well with beef, duck stew with mushrooms, or vegetables terrines. Excellent to drink with goat cheese and fig.
