ESTATE HISTORY
The first trace of Magdeleine-Bouhou dates back to the 18th century when Domaine Bouhou was registered. Bouhou or “Bouhar” in the local language, means ‘to blow’. It is a name inspired by the strong wind which comes from the Gironde estuary. They say at times it is so strong, that it alone could play the “Boha”, a local sort of bagpipe. This is what inspired our signature logo of the piper boy.

Magdeleine Bouhou is just east of the town of Blaye and this proximity to the Gironde estuary plays an important role in how the vines thrive here. Directly across the estuary from Pauillac, the right bank brings thermal regulation to the surrounding land, helping to prevent freezing and ventilating the vines.

TASTING & FOOD PAIRINGS
This cuvée is a new approach of the Cabernet Sauvignon. A dry white, with a very slight tint that reminds us of it’s origins. we find notes of citrus fruits and peach. With a beautiful mouth, the acidity and a little fattiness blend exceptionally well together.
