A prominent chapter of its history occurred in the 19th century when the property belonged to the cousins of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec; the famous painter spent many summers there and became a vocal admirer of the estate's wines. In 1952, Pierre Bonnet took ownership and spent decades modernizing the facilities and elevating the quality of the production.
